I am a long-time resident of Petone and excited to offer the people of the Hutt Valley an opportunity to explore inspired movement – the body and beyond.

I see inspired movement as simply creating space to try new ways of doing things. We all move our bodies but we don’t often pay attention to “how” we move our bodies. Having an opportunity to learn about our bodies and understand how our own body moves, gives us the space to play with movement and find new inspired ways of moving through our life.

Murray has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, having completed his 200 level teacher training in 2015, and has gone on to train in trauma sensitive yoga. His passion for trauma sensitive yoga has led him to redefine his own personal and teaching practice. He follows a slow and mindful practice where feelings in the body and the ability to smile are the key objectives. Murray shares his teaching time between studio and prison yoga.

Kate is relatively new to yoga having developed a regular practice from early last year. But she hasn’t looked back. She started not long after giving birth to her last child and found it was the best thing she could have ever done. Having historically suffered from bouts of depression and at times anxiety, Kate attributes her regular practice of yoga to her new found energy, clarity and calm.

Kate wanted to teach yoga and share the amazing benefits with others. Her desire is that through yoga others may have the opportunity to heal physically, mentally and spiritually, so they can simply feel better within themselves.

Rachael is trained in Vinyassa Kramer and Restorative Yoga. She loves to teach the authentic practice of yoga in a supportive environment. She will take you on a journey to self, through self. If you are new to yoga, this is the class for you.
